Fujio finds shelter despite having lost everything.

Fujio Kimura
Mr. Kimura lost everything he had ever worked for on the day of the tsunami. While he was completely devastated by the loss of all of his belongings, he was able to find shelter at the former Oohara Junior High School on the Oshika Peninsula in northeast Japan. Thanks to JEN and your generous donation, Mr. Kimura says, “I have been encouraged and I find myself recovering little by little.”

His favorite JEN activity so far has been building tables and benches to put under the cherry blossom tree.  Mr. Kimura and the other residents look forward to having shelter for the next few years and a place they can sit and talk together.  Thank you for your donation and for the relief you have provided for Mr. Kimura!
